Siobhán is inspired by and utilises the teachings of TVK Desikachar, son and student of Krishnamacharia.
People come to yoga for many reasons – to gain flexibility, strength, relaxation and/or peace of mind. They may have some physical issue, for example, lower back pain or the mind may be agitated. The true purpose of yoga is to bring stability to the mind. We can attain this by linking body, mind and breath through the practice of the yoga. Aasana (yoga postures) are utilized to strengthen and purify the body, pranayama to regulate and lengthen the breath and meditation bring calm and alertness to the mind.
